All our mini adventures start with finding a cheap flight. On this occasion we found a return flight to Oslo for just under £100. We booked the Scandic Holmenkollen Park. The hotel was referbed for the winter Olimpics in the 90’s origionally built 1894, we highly reccomend it as a good base to explore Oslo, it is out of town but only a shot tram ride away.
We had a fantasic trip and were lucky enough to have some snow on our last day. Which was great fun. Down from the hotel is the local tram which went in to down town Oslo. Which you could by a day or weekend pass on the machines at the station, very easy to use.
Next to the hotel was the Ski Jump used in the olimpics. Under the structure were cafes which we welcomed after walking up to the top. A ski museum was on the same park but we didnt visit.
We had a great stay the hotel was great food and drink was good not the cheapest but we didnt expect it to be. But was really goood.
